The PACT program seeks to provide performing arts education in elementary schools and foster an early appreciation for the arts. The ICT team of artist-educators teaches programs that enhance creativity and increase literacy and language skills.

In this 3-week program, ICT provides study guides and technical knowledge in combination with hands-on learning and theatre exercises. Students have the opportunity to act, write a play, and perform with their classmates, boosting confidence and self-esteem.  On average, ICT makes 480 classroom visits to third grade annually.

“Teachers of third grade students are focusing on developing comprehension, vocabulary, writing and language skills in their classroom teaching. The consensus is that the PACT Program is a valuable resource to develop skills in these areas.”Julia Mendell, Principal of Frances E. Willard Elementary School
