So begins this wildly imaginative and off-center romantic comedy by MacArthur “Genius” Grant recipient, Pulitzer Prize finalist, and one of America’s hottest new playwrights, Sarah Ruhl, author of The Clean House and Eurydice. It is the odyssey of a woman forced to confront her own assumptions about morality, redemption and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.

Looking for something fun to do this summer?

Our Summer Youth Conservatory is a great way for
kids from 7 to 15 to learn more about theatre!
This 6-week-long conservatory features instruction
in acting, music, dance and movement taught by
industry professionals, culminating in a special
presentation for parents and friends.

Classes will be held July 1 through August 8, 2013

No class July 4

Monday–Thursday,  9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Cost: $375 if signed up by May 1 ($395 after)
Location:  The Marketplace, Long Beach – Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street

The 2013 Summer Youth Conservatory participants will be presenting a free performance at the end of the six-week program. All are welcome to attend this free performance but reservations are necessary.

The folklore of Latin America comes to life when WE TELL STORIES presents this wonderful show for children and families. With an odd trunk full of costumes and props, their extemporaneous style, and their imaginative ways of involving the audience in every story, WE TELL STORIES will have children and grownups alike wanting to run home and act stories themselves. These are stories of the family. Stories told to teach the simple truths. Stories that entertain, enlighten, enrapture and endure.

All performances are at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center at 11AM (unless noted otherwise) and will last approximately one hour.  If you park in the parking structure, there is a $10 parking fee or 2-hour parking is also available at meters on Ocean Blvd.
