Stampeding elephants! Raging typhoons! Runaway trains! It’s 1872 and Phileas Fogg has agreed to an outrageous wager that puts his fortune and life at risk. With his resourceful servant Passepartout, Fogg sets out to circle the globe in an unheard-of 80 days. But his every step is dogged by a detective who thinks that he’s a robber on the run. Danger, romance and comic surprises abound as five actors portraying 39 characters traverse seven continents.

What The Critics Are Saying

CRITIC’S GRADE: A – Back Stage

“director Allison Bibicoff and her playful performers attack their material with just the right blend of silliness and rigor, giving an impromptu flair to this precisely regimented staging – no mean feat.” – LA Times Click here for story

“Brown and Bibicoff treat Verne’s tale with the same respect the author always showed to even his most outlandish fictional creations.”– Back Stage Click here for story

“The play features five of the hardest working actors on any stage, anywhere, as they take on 35 roles between them.” – Huffington Post Click here for story

“… this ever so imaginative production is likely to prove a critical and audience favorite” – StageSceneLA Click here for story

“The superb right-on direction by Allison Bibicoff kept pacing perfect, and was well-hailed. The ‘flawless , hardworking’ five-person cast drew a clearly worthy long/loud standing ovation at story’s close.” – Patch

“The colorful 2008 adaptation gets a well-staged and wholly entertaining production at International City Theatre.” – OC Register

“Using a whole lot of theatrical magic and a cast of five that plays about three dozen characters as the plot takes Phileas Fogg and his manservant Passepartout around the world, the play is a never-ending wonder of invention” – Press-Telegram

“an effective adaptation cleverly staged, given a true frolicsomeness by an adventurous cast … the actors must be praised.”   –
